Local Government East runs a series of Online Roundtable Discussions focussed around key priorities for local government in the region. These sessions are open to all councils in the East of England. At a LGE roundtable, you will hear from  guest speakers and have an opportunity to learn from own examples of best practice and share questions with peers.

At this roundtable,  we will discuss the challenges and opportunities as local councils plan the transition of children’s services to a new unitary authority. We will draw on the experiences of other areas outside the region who have already gone through Local Government Reorganisation. There will be a chance to share questions, ideas and concerns.

Who should attend: Leaders and Portfolio Holders for Children’s Services, Directors of Children’s Services, LGR programme managers and interested officers and councillors.

Please note: if this session is oversubscribed places will be limited to 2 – 3 people per authority.

If you have any queries please contact Kate O’Driscoll, Policy and Programmes Manager, Local Government East, email: kate.odriscoll@localgoveasteng.gov.uk
