Training
“Our training is a holistic, evidence-based approach that supports professionals to respond effectively and sensitively to individuals who may have experienced trauma. We work to empower services to create safe, supportive environments where both service users and staff feel valued, understood, and empowered.
At the heart of our philosophy is the belief that trauma-informed care is relevant in every sector and at every level. We recognise trauma as complex, but being trauma-sensitive doesn’t have to be. Our approach is about understanding the relevance of trauma, which builds motivation, confidence, and meaningful application. We believe that trauma-informed practice should not be traumatic—it should be empowering, accessible, and sustainable.
Our model is a flexible, immersive, consultation-based training approach, co-designed by subject experts, participants and survivors. It focuses on identifying and building upon existing good practice while fostering collaboration across services.
Training is tailored to each organisation or team’s unique needs, ensuring long-lasting impact and practical relevance in day-to-day work. Our goal is to support a whole-service approach that includes senior leadership, frontline staff, service users, and stakeholders, helping to cultivate a strong community of best practice.
From a practical standpoint, our training is available both in-person and online and can be delivered as a full-day session or split into multiple or stand-alone modules, subject to requirements. It is suitable for participants of all roles and experience levels. Each training package includes bespoke, sector-specific materials, interactive presentations, and opportunities for follow-up support, feedback, and access to communities of practice and additional resources.
We strive to ensure that this subject is approached as an opportunity for seamless continued learning, development, and application beyond the training itself.”
