Ellisha is a multi award-winning Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Specialist. Ellisha worked as Director of Equality Diversity Inclusion for several colleges and adult education in East Anglia, and as a lecturer teaching EDI has worked in the education sector for the over 10 years, and in the health and social care/ Public Health sector for over 15 years.

Ellisha is an advocate for change on social mobility and was highly influential as one of the first Further Education lecturer to facilitate Black History across the year, in the UK. Her achievements include co-author of Elimu – the Little Book of Knowledge, which is being used across schools in the UK and was partnership with award winning Black Panther Marvel Exhibition to the UK.

Ellisha works as international consultant and collaborates with businesses and community projects to empower others and create new opportunities through leadership. Ellisha has worked closely with the Department of Education, and continues to work with sectors on creating changes, sitting at speaking in parliamentary boards. She has been featured in global news journals as column writer and papers, and feature on BBC, ITV Huff Post, Educational times news and was recently honoured in Glamour magazine for being Top 15 Trailblazer Black Women in the UK, and is United Nations Women’s delegate.

Shine offers a range of engaging sessions—from beginner workshops to impactful keynote talks. Each session can be tailored to meet the unique needs of your team or organization, including options for bespoke workshops, consulting, and mentoring.

All workshops are centered around Equity in the Workplace, with a strong focus on Race and Ethos. Through interactive delivery, Ellisha supports both staff and leadership teams to become gamechangers in their environments.

Drawing on lived experience, the power of storytelling, and evidence-based models, these sessions create a space for meaningful learning and transformative action. Every training is adaptable and can be fully customized to meet the specific goals and context of your organization.

Professional Experience, Highlights and Distinctions:

  • Featuring a new service: A Practical Guide to Understanding and Responding to Coercive Control in Schools and Services  focuses on real-world scenarios, lived experience, and early warning signs to help professionals speak out, see beyond the surface, and safeguard those at risk of coercive control.
  • Joining the dance too bias training & neurodiversity.
  • Equality and Diversity Introduction training- which includes interactive workshop (2 hours) reviewing all 9 protected characteristics, reviewing the different forms of discriminations, Equality act 2010 and a focus on anti-racism and case studies to review in the workplace.
  • Anti Racism Training (2 hours) – focusing on Racism – elements defined reviewing the different forms including microaggression, and structural, institutional, interpersonal internalised. Defining Anti-Racism embedding case study scenarios into the session.
  • Black History and Inclusivity training (up to 2 hours). Focusing on key elements in the workplace and beyond reviewing several key examples on black history, reflecting on models to ensure we create cultural changes and focus on the importance of anti-racism practices and building networks with your local communities.
  • Inclusive Leadership- This workshop is designed to support leaders and upcoming managers and EDI champions to review EDI through a diversity lenses, exploring the values and benefits of working as inclusive organization. This interactive half day programme will review the characteristics of an inclusive leader, embedding the curiosity model into our workplace to build connections with staff, and analysing unconscious bias and the effects bias have regarding the impact of decision making.
