Training in Equity

Gita Prasad

Gita is an influential and inspiring leader with outstanding strategic, operational and transformational delivery within health and social care in the UK. She brings over 17 years of experience working in the public sector, demonstrating versatility and breadth within the public sector. In her last role, she delivered to a population of 6.3m, with six integrated care systems and negotiated a delivery contract of over £300m.

With a genuine interest in integrated care, she leads business, commercial and partnership development, working with a range of local and national partners. This includes both commissioning and provider delivery, policy development and design and engagement with the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector.

An expert in strategic partnerships and engagement, Gita reaches into the heart of what matters with respect and integrity. Transformational change, enlivening senior teams to galvanise participation, is achieved through multiple forms of engagement and influencing styles. Gita employs a deliberative and coaching style to work with disparate and fragmented groups to bring about a common vision. She also has achieved success by anchoring strategy in real life experiences given by patients, people and staff.

Gita is passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion and switches between individual and organisational inclusivity perspectives, to develop meaningful insights and action. This has informed her approach to training and leadership development, population health management, reducing health inequalities and commissioning.
