Paul has been working in the social housing industry for over 40 years in both the Local Authority, Registered and Charitable Provider sectors. Positions held at Executive level include 27 years as Orwell Housing Associations Director of Housing and Care Services responsible for 4500 properties including 1000 supported homes and a staff team of 550. Paul has also been a Non-Executive most notably at Estuary housing association where he chaired the Housing, Support and Care Committee and was Vice Chair of the Board. During his time at Orwell Paul played a leading role in Orwell’s diversification into support and care services growing that part of the business to a turnover of £17m. He also led Orwell’s programme of insourcing services. Paul has also been active with the Chartered Institute of Housing as a member of the Eastern Branch chairing it twice and a member of CIH national Council. More recently Paul has focussed on interim and consultancy work in the case of the former being employed as Chief Executive at Norwich Housing Society and Director of Housing, Health and Communities at Uttlesford DC. Recently Paul has undertaken consultancy work at ASH Shahada having completed a governance and supported housing review and Board away day facilitation and training. Paul is an inspirational, experienced project manager and strategic leader, a team player who loves working with others to get the job done always with the aim of achieving great customer service and processes that work for them and the organisation.’
