Our People and Employer Services team is dedicated to supporting our member councils with all aspects of workforce and organisational development.
We provide practical, tailored advice and resources to help you navigate the complex world of employment and create workplaces where your teams can thrive.
Our services include:
- HR and Workforce Support – From recruitment and retention strategies to workforce planning and policy development, we offer guidance and best practice to help you build a strong, resilient workforce.
- Employee Relations and Casework – We provide expert advice and support on employee relations issues, case management, and conflict resolution to help you handle complex cases confidently.
- Pay, Reward and Job Evaluation – We work with councils to develop fair and competitive pay structures, reward packages, and job evaluation frameworks that attract and retain talent.
- Organisational Development – We support you in creating inclusive, high-performing cultures and developing the skills and capabilities of your teams.
- Early Careers and Talent Management – From apprenticeships and T-level placements to graduate schemes and work experience programmes, we offer comprehensive support to build your future workforce. We also lead an Early Careers Network to help councils connect and share best practice.
- Networks and Collaboration – We provide opportunities for HR and workforce professionals to connect, learn, and collaborate through a range of networks, events and quarterly publications.
