To support our member authorities in navigating these challenges, we are pleased to announce the free Local Government Essentials East bi-annual training events. These are key opportunity for elected members and officers to gain the insights and helpful practical tools to support them to adapt to the evolving landscape of local governance.
What to expect
The Local Government Essentials East events are interactive and designed to help delegates build the skills and knowledge they need to address the challenges facing the sector. The events will feature:
- Workshops of your choice: Attendees can select from a variety of tailored workshops, led by expert industry speakers. These workshops are designed to provide valuable insights into the latest trends, policy changes, and best practices in local government.
- A new toolkit for local authorities: To add value to the events members are able to access an online toolkit capturing the key lessons learned throughout the event series. This resource will provide local government officers and members with easy access to practical guidance, shared knowledge, and valuable materials to support their ongoing work long after the events conclude. - Networking and collaboration: With plenty of opportunities to meet peers from across the region, these events offer a platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and shared learning.
