Invite to Social Workers

Published on 8 July 2020

Social workers are invited to a free online session that Social Work England are running as part of their ongoing commitment to engage with the social work sector during these challenging times.

They are offering online sessions to introduce the specialist regulator and help social workers understand how to meet the professional standards. Their regional engagement team, who are social workers themselves, will give a 90-minute overview of the professional standards, register and fitness to practise process.

The team will advise social workers how to ensure their registration is renewed by the regulator later this year. This will include a practical demonstration of how to use Social Work England’s online account and how to prepare and record the required Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

The events are for all social workers but aimed specifically at independent social workers, NHS social workers, agency social workers and those working in the third/voluntary sector.

The next online session takes place on 8th July and more are running throughout July to September.
