At the last Water Futures Event, we outlined what was needed for a water management project to thrive, be it in the public, private or community sector. These insights were incredibly valuable, and in order to make use of these findings, we wanted to apply some of what we had learned, and share that information.
In particular, we wanted to focus on climate and environmental projects involving water. We will investigate projects that are looking to improve sustainability, create biodiversity and reduce carbon emissions, and ask them how they achieved what they achieved. We then want to ask attendees how they could take these points of learning, and apply them to the projects they are currently undertaking themselves.
Agenda to follow shortly.
The event will be run in partnership with national water regulators through the Regulatory Alliance for Progressing Infrastructure Development (RAPID), consisting of partners including the Environment Agency, Ofwat and the Clean Drinking Water Inspectorate.
It is part of a wider programme of events that we will be running to support sustained collaboration to help drive resilience, economic growth and environmental recovery in the East of England.
Audience: The event is aimed at senior planners, sustainability leads, locality teams, community groups, and portfolio holders for water management and infrastructure.
