Local Government East presents its next Lunch & Learn, offering member councils the opportunity to explore innovative training solutions that support workforce development and organisational learning.  This session will feature ENB Recruitment and Training, who provide both classroom-based training and eLearning content design and development.

Session Overview:

Councils today face diverse learning needs across different teams, departments, and delivery methods. ENB Recruitment and Training will demonstrate how a blended approach combining classroom-based learning and eLearning can create flexible, engaging, and effective training solutions.

We will explore explores how councils can deliver essential training in areas such as:

  • Introduction to Leadership
  • Giving and Receiving Feedback
  • Conflict Management
  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Time Management
  • Leading Change
  • Interviewing Skills
  • Having Courageous Conversations
  • Customer Service Excellence

Training Delivery Options

Training can be delivered through a blended approach, combining:

  • Classroom-based sessions for face-to-face engagement, teamwork, immediate feedback, and interactive learning

  • eLearning modules for on-demand, flexible learning that is scalable, cost-effective, and supports consistent knowledge transfer across teams

How this workshop can support councils:

  • Creating bespoke eLearning modules tailored to your organisation

  • Redesigning existing classroom content into reusable digital formats with interactive elements, knowledge checks, text, visuals, and video content

  • Delivering classroom-based training sessions in areas such as Leadership Development, Personal Development, and Customer Service

Key Benefits of the Blended Approach

Classroom-Based Training:

  • Provides face-to-face interaction for higher engagement

  • Immediate feedback and stronger teamwork

  • Builds motivation, accountability, and collaboration

  • Strengthens leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

eLearning:

  • Training on demand, accessible anytime and anywhere

  • Consistent content delivery, highly scalable and cost-effective

  • Supports onboarding, compliance, and refresher training

  • Tracks progress and measures learning outcomes

  • Encourages a culture of ongoing learning

By combining these approaches, councils can build skills faster, retain knowledge longer, and support continuous employee development, even under organisational pressures. For example, changes to housing laws can be rolled out efficiently through eLearning, ensuring all staff receive consistent and timely training.

Who should attend:
