This training is being offered by the East of England Strategic Migration Partnership in collaboration with colleagues from the Home Office and the accommodation provider, Serco. This session is for district, county and unitary council officers from Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk who are asked to respond to consultation from asylum accommodation providers and want to know:
- Which stakeholders to consult with?
- What sort of evidence to provide to the consultation?
- How the adjudication process works if provider and council disagree?
- What happens once a property is live in the estate – how is information shared with stakeholders?
- How can public sector stakeholders raise their concerns about the asylum estate?
This will be the chance to hear from those who steer the process as well as giving attendees the chance to ask questions and learn from each other practices that work to make the process more efficient.
