Join us in-person at The Halls, Norwich on Wednesday 15 July 2026 from 9.00am – 1.00pm.
Following the success of the Norfolk LGR Community launched in March, this next event will bring together colleagues from across all eight councils to connect, collaborate and support collective leadership through transition to the three new councils.
By July, the joint programme team will be in place, workstreams will be established and discovery activity will be underway. So, this is the perfect time to come together to develop a shared understanding of the journey ahead and how the various strands of activity connect together to support a successful transition.
Through a combination of strategic reflections, programme updates, facilitated discussion and networking opportunities, the event will provide an opportunity to:
- build a shared understanding of the transition journey between now and Vesting Day
- hear lessons and reflections from others, including the realities of balancing safe and legal and longer-term transformation
- understand the focus of different workstreams and how individual areas of activity contribute to the wider programme
- step back from individual areas of work to consider the wider outcomes Norfolk is seeking to achieve through LGR
- strengthen relationships and shared leadership across councils as programme activity accelerates.
An agenda will be circulated ahead of the event.
We want to continue shaping this community together. Colleagues directly involved in the LGR programme across all eight councils are invited, and we hope you will join us.
Please book your place by 26 June 2026. This event is by invitation only.
This event is being delivered jointly by all eight Norfolk councils and supported by the LGA.
Event management is provided by LGE.
