Local Government East runs a series of roundtable discussions focussed on key priorities for local government in the East of England. These sessions are open to all councils in the region. At the LGE roundtable, you will hear from a guest speaker on a particular theme and have an opportunity to learn from, and share your own examples of, best practice, opportunities, and challenges.
At this roundtable, the Department for Education will give an overview of the key proposals in the Schools White Paper, expected to be published in February. We will explore the impact of these proposals for local councils in the East of England.
Who should attend: Council Leaders, Chief Executives, Directors and Portfolio Holders for Children’s Services and Education from the East of England, and interested councillors and officers from the region.
Please note, if the White Paper is not published in February, the roundtable will be postponed to a more suitable time.
