Local Government East has been running a series of roundtable discussions over the last few years, and this programme continues into 2026/27. These sessions are open to all councils in the East of England and their partner organisations. At the LGE roundtable, you will hear from a guest speaker on each theme and have an opportunity to learn from – and share your own examples of – best practice.
With local authority finances continuing to be in a perilous state, it can be difficult to find the money needed to reduce the demand pressures that threaten to overwhelm the sector. In this roundtable, we will investigate how we can ensure that money is set aside to establish preventative schemes and explore case studies from across the East of England as to how it can be successfully achieved.
Agenda and speakers to follow shortly.
Who should attend: Local authority finance teams and budget holders; finance portfolio holders.
Please note: if this session is oversubscribed places will be limited to 2 – 3 people per authority.
