LGE Roundtable Discussion: Getting Ready for Bids for the Social and Affordable Homes Programme 2026 to 2036 in the East of England

  • Virtual Event – Microsoft Teams
  • 11th February 2026, 10:00 - 11:30
  • Entry Fees: Free

Local Government East has been running a series of roundtable discussions over the last few years. At LGE roundtables, you will hear from a guest speaker on a particular theme and have an opportunity to learn from, and share your own examples of, best practice, opportunities, and challenges.

A key policy priority for LGE is to work with the Government and Homes England to ensure the region gets a fair share of the funding through the Social and Affordable Homes Programme.

At this Roundtable, Homes England will share information on the aims of the Social and Affordable Homes Programme and the pre, during and post application process. There will be an opportunity to ask Homes England questions, and have a discussion on regional challenges and priorities.

Who should attend: Local council portfolio holders and directors for housing and planning, and interested senior officers, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, and housing associations in the East of England considering bidding for the Social and Affordable Homes Programme.
