Discover the Local Government Apprentice of the Year event. Curious about what the event entails? Come along to this session to Find Out More…

Join our short Find Out More session to get a clear, friendly overview of the event and what to expect.

The Local Government Apprentice of the Year event takes place online on 12–13 May 2026 and brings together apprentices from councils in England, Wales and Northern Ireland to take part in team challenges, build confidence, and develop key skills – with the chance to gain recognition and win prizes.

This session is designed to help you decide whether the event is right for you (or your apprentices). There’s no obligation to sign up.

What will the session cover?

  • How the Apprentice of the Year event works
  • What happens during the event
  • Who the event is for and how apprentices are supported
  • Hearing directly from a previous participant
  • Time for questions and discussion

Who should attend?

  • Apprentices who want to find out if the event is for them
  • Line managers considering booking an apprentice
  • HR / L&D and early careers leads supporting apprentice development

Councils may also find this a helpful way to introduce the event to apprentices before deciding who will represent them.

Not your first year?

If you’re already familiar with the event and are ready to book places for your apprentices, you can head straight to the main event booking page to secure places.

This session is informal, informative, and open to anyone interested.
We look forward to sharing more details and answering your questions.
