Strengthening Workplace Culture in Local Authorities

We are introducing a dedicated Psychological Safety Workshop for local authority leaders, managers, and staff.

This initiative is designed to support councils in meeting their statutory responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010 and in embedding best practice around dignity at work.

The working session will cover:

  • Understanding psychological safety in the public sector context

  • Preventing and addressing harassment, bullying, and victimisation in the workplace

  • Exploring the link between psychological safety, well-being, and service quality

  • Reviewing existing policies and identifying gaps

  • Developing practical action plans to strengthen organisational culture

Who should attend:

  • Senior leaders and elected members

  • Line managers and supervisors

  • HR, OD and safeguarding professionals

  • Staff representatives

Why this matters:
A workplace free from harassment, bullying, and victimisation is not only a legal requirement, but the foundation of a healthy, high-performing organisation. When employees feel respected and safe to contribute, councils deliver stronger services and foster greater trust with their communities.
