Description
Simon has extensive experience in delivering town planning services and working with city, urban and rural local authorities of differing political control. He specialises in the governance and preparation of statutory local plans that deliver high quality environmentally sustainable growth. In particular Simon provides local plan support in relation to project management and providing policy advice on high priority objectives such as the delivery of net zero carbon development. This knowledge is based on over 47 years work in the public sector in Birmingham, Stratford-on-Avon, Uttlesford and Cambridge (including 11 years as a local authority director). Simon has experience in advising on an award winning community engagement project that formed the basis for a new local plan. Simon is a fully qualified town planner and a fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
