Description
Sam is a senior communications consultant with significant experience of local government and a track record of supporting winning cultural bids, leading stakeholder and community consultation programmes and delivering public sector campaigns. She leads a team of consultants through her Norwich-based company, Filigree, which works almost exclusively with local authorities. Sam has worked in-house as an interim Head of Communications for a local authority and has led major public-facing campaigns for councils as well as facilitating member workshops, events and providing issues and crisis management. Sam founded Filigree in 2015, building on 15 years' experience in corporate communications. As Head of Communications for Gatwick Airport, Sam led the rebrand to position it as London’s airport of choice and was responsible for internal communications, customer service, delivering a new website and digital channels as well as crisis communications. She offers interactive workshops and engagement sessions with elected members, senior officers or stakeholders; preparation of social value programmes; development of issues and crisis communication plans including briefings and scenario-based training; strategies for community consultation or engagement; business case or bid writing support for funding applications; or interim communications support to mentor or work as an extension to internal teams.
