James Wickham is a highly experienced local government Digital Transformation consultant with over 20 years’ experience supporting councils through complex change. He is the founder of JPW Digital Services Ltd and works flexibly as a lead consultant, advisor or delivery partner. 

James has led and supported transformation programmes spanning Local Government Reorganisation, digital and ICT modernisation, data strategy, service redesign and operating model change. He brings a strong understanding of the pressures facing councils during periods of structural reform and is particularly experienced in maintaining service continuity, workforce stability and delivery confidence. 

He is known for operating as a trusted critical friend to senior leaders, providing clear, honest advice and helping organisations move from uncertainty to action.
