Specialisms

I specialise in the following areas:

  • Community Engagement
  • LGR Hub
  • Programme Management
  • Project Management
Andy has spent his career working across local government, the voluntary sector, and consultancy – always with a focus on improving the way organisations respond to complex community needs. He started in children’s safeguarding law before moving into refugee and migrant casework, which is where he found his stride: trauma-informed outreach, co-production, and building trust with communities that are often overlooked or misrepresented.
As Project Manager for the Homes for Ukraine programme in Suffolk, Andy led a multidisciplinary approach that kept homelessness under 1% for the entire cohort – something achieved through early intervention, data-led decision making, and treating people as experts in their own story. His consultancy work now builds on that foundation.
Andy supports councils, charities, and creative organisations to develop community-driven programmes, improve governance culture, and strengthen engagement with groups who often feel disconnected from institutions.
Recent work includes Beyond Boundaries with ISCRE, Pride community and political engagement, City of Sanctuary training for councillors, and strategic engagement support for Uwu Studio & Friends’ Black History Month initiative.
Across everything he does, Andy’s focus is simple: practical solutions, grounded in empathy, delivered in partnership.

Testimonials/Case Studies

“I supported Uwu Studio & Friends in developing their Black History Month pop-up shop — a showcase designed to highlight and celebrate Black artists, makers, and creatives across Suffolk. My role focused on strengthening community engagement, increasing visibility, and ensuring the project had a meaningful presence beyond the event itself.

We incorporated free creative workshops for children and young people, which quickly became a central part of the programme. This approach helped broaden the audience, encouraged families to take part, and created an environment where young people could see themselves reflected in the local creative sector.
Alongside this, I developed a media and political engagement plan to raise the project’s profile. This included targeted outreach to councillors, community leaders, and local press, ensuring the event was recognised as an important cultural moment in Suffolk’s calendar.

The result was a vibrant, welcoming space that connected new audiences with local Black creatives, strengthened community relationships, and amplified the voices behind the project.

This work demonstrated how thoughtful engagement and visibility can turn an event into a wider statement about representation, creativity, and belonging.”
