Adrian finished his career with the Royal Mail Group in 2005 as an Appeal Hearing Manager and Investigator.  He has worked as an Independent Investigator since 2005, having spent a large proportion of his time working across the wider public sector, as well as having served as a Magistrate since 2001.

Due to the nature of the work that Adrian undertakes, including that as a Magistrate, he must demonstrate a high level of independence, objectivity, discretion, and confidentiality.  All of his work requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, sound judgement and decision making, together with good written and oral communication skills.  Most importantly, he has to have the ability to form conclusions and decisions both independently and when working as a team.

Adrian has carried out investigations at the highest level within the public sector and is one of the few Independent Investigators who conducts section 151 investigations for the Local Government Association (LGA).
