Sharon is a member of the Senior Leadership Team. As Head of Communications and Commercial Services she and her team are responsible for events management, Talent Bank Consultancy Services and Together in Equity specialist training and consultancy services
Cairistine Foster-Cannan
Chief Executive
Cairistine joined LGE in February 2024 having worked in the Executive Team at Orwell Housing as Director of Customers and Communities. Prior to this she spent 18 years delivering and leading local government housing services for councils in the UK.

Our Senior Management Team (SMT) comprises the Chief Executive, Director of Policy and Corporate Services, Head of People and Employer Services, Head of the Strategic Migration Partnership, and Head of Communications and Commercial Services. Together, they provide strategic leadership and ensure the organisation operates effectively and in line with our values as a member-owned public sector body.
The Chief Executive is accountable to the Chair of the Management Committee and the Lead Chief Executive, ensuring strong governance and alignment with our members’ priorities.
